Here are two photos we captured just before we got started on the investigation. These were taken moments apart from each other while in the living room during set up. The pictures were taken with a 35mm camera using 400 speed film.

The above picture was the second shot. At the top of the photo as well as the bottom you see what I we are calling "Blue Pearls." The bottom group of Blue Pearls seems to be slightly off set, to the right, of the top ones. They also seem to be more uniform in shape than the upper ones.

This was the first shot taken while we were getting our equipment set up. At the top of the photo, along the ceiling, there are alot of white spots. Checking the negatives from the film does not show any damage.

 This EVP sounds like "Babies are fine." This was captured from Marcia's recorder while she was petting the family's dog. This dog is HUGE and is very protective of the family, especially the children.

 "Mommy" was recorded while one of the homeowners talked about two short apparitions she saw in the house.

 Kristen found this from the recorder she was carrying. Kevin warns everyone he is about to take a picture down the hallway. A moment later it sounds like a child say "Hall."

 Kristen and Marcia are discussing photos. Then you hear what sounds like a man saying "Kevin."  Kevin then announces time out from the room they were in.

 Kevin's recorder picks up a whisper "Seal" while he and Scott discuss how to use the dowsing rods. This was recorded during the vigil in the far south end bedroom.

 You here "Thank Be" or "Baby" while Kevin and Scott are talking about a location for a possible future investigation.

SK House

Texas Panhandle Paranormal Investigations had an opportunity to conduct a very interesting investigation on the southern outskirts of Canyon, Texas. What makes this location interesting is that we had more information about its history than we normally do. First off the house is one of the first “Redi-builts” and was moved to the location back in the 1960’s. The home and property has been used mainly for the personal use of the original owners and their sons. This first family were known and loved by many in the community and the surrounding area, in-fact they were often referred to as “A fine Christian family.” The patriarch of the family passed away in 1996 and his wife passed about 4 years later after living with one of her sons since 1996. Not long after she moved from the house the sons began to rent the house and land out to various families until September 2001 when the current family purchased the house.

During the years of being a rental property, the home had fallen into some serious disrepair and it took about two weeks of long hard work to put the home into a livable condition. During that rehabilitation period, the new family began to feel that they were not alone, hearing noises and having feelings of being watched. Over the first 4 ½ years the family has lived in the house they lost many items that turned up in the strangest places, like in the attic and underneath the house. At times they would find all of the heating vents closed throughout the house when no one had closed them. These stories had been related to Marcia and I along with pictures of the interior of the house.

While reviewing the pictures of the house there was one in particular that intrigued us. The photograph was of the living room and one of their sons. While looking at this picture I felt that there was an older male spirit near the son. I also kept feeling the name “Adam” associated with this spirit. What was even more interesting was that I smelled smoke from a fire near by even though no one else could smell it. A few moments later the owners related a couple of stories to us. The first story was about their daughter who was home alone one night and had a particularly frightening experience. She told her parents of seeing a man around the house and in the front yard. She did not recognize this man and she was extremely frightened. To this day she refuses to talk about the incident in detail. She has told them that she refers to this man as “Adam.” The second story they related to us was that during their research into the history of the house, they had been told of a fire that killed a family living there. They were also told that the family was buried somewhere on the property.

On the night of the investigation, the owners asked Kevin to look over the building where the water well was housed on the south side of the home. Once inside the small structure, Kevin got the impression of two small children (a boy and a girl) who seemed to be hiding, like playing a game of “Hide-N-Seek.” The home owners then related to us that they were told that the family who had been killed in the fire was thought to be buried in that area. The family consisted of the parents a son and daughter. The current owners then told us of other strange things they knew of the house. The old garage had been enclosed and converted into an extension of the house by the current family and then they were told that one group, who lived in the house, had practiced some type of occult activities in that garage. In fact, they told us about finding remains of a cat that had been beheaded in the old garage.

Once the physical investigation was completed of the house, the team was broken up into two groups. Kevin, Scott and Bunch went to the daughter’s bedroom in the south end of the house while Marcia, Kristen and Kathy went to one of the son’s room on the far north end of the house. The purpose was to conduct vigils and see if any other impressions or EVP’s could be obtained that would help answer any more questions. While the ladies conducted their vigil, Kathy utilized her crystal pendulum to try and obtain Yes or No answers to direct questions of any spirits present. Very strong positive responses confirmed that a spirit named “Adam” was present and that he was the one who scared the daughter. It was also determined that he was there to be a guardian to one of the sons. It was also learned, during a conversation with the owners that the daughter and this son had been fighting and bickering just before she was frightened. It also should be noted that Kathy had not been present to the interview with the owners when the story of the daughter was discussed.

While the ladies were busy, Kevin, Scott and Bunch were utilizing a set of dowsing rods during their vigil in the opposite end of the house. Again, direct questions requiring a Yes or No response were asked. All three took turns in asking questions while using the rods. Kevin got the impression of three names at different times. Questions about the names Billy and Sarah received “Yes” responses as to being the names of the children from the Well house. The third name obtained was “Carl” and it was determined that he was the father of Billy and Sarah. Questions about their deaths could not be determined. No responses could be ascertained at all from this point forward on any subject from the dowsing rods. Speaking with the owners about this vigil did confirm that there was a previous owner named Carl.
